Brooklyn —

The holidays can be lonely for nursing home residents — but there’s
nothing like a motorcycle party to rev up the crowd.

The American Bikers Club gathers ever December in Canarsie for the “Senior Run” — a showy spectacle of a ride that end at the Four Seasons Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center on Rockaway Parkway. The bikers bring music, food and good cheer to the seniors, who get the chance to have a picture taken on a motorcycle.

The Senior Run has grown every year since it began in 1988, when
club president Anthony White first approached the nursing home with the idea.
Riders and their families from other clubs have joined in, including
the Unknown Bikers and the Uncaged Motorcycle Club, whose members rode this year in memory of their late club president.
