A bedridden cancer patient. Babies inhaling smoke. Rotted smiles. These are some of the proposed larger, bolder warning labels that could come to cigarette packages, as part of the Tobacco Control Act of 2009.

Federal regulators are giving the public a chance to decide on the new look. The Food and Drug Administration this month released nine proposed warning labels and three dozen images that the public can vote on by going to www.fda.gov.
