Manhattan —

The country’s largest Veterans Day Parade marched up Fifth Avenue to honor the nation’s armed forces. This year’s parade theme was “Never Forget,” a special tribute to those lost 10 years ago on 9/11.

Thousands of spectators waved as 27 active military units, four Medal of Honor recipients, veteran groups, government dignitaries and dozens of bands traveled from 23rd to 56th street. The featured service branch was the United States Navy. Ken Corrigan, a Navy veteran and a retired firefighter, showed his support by playing a snare drum.
