Manhattan -
A satellite probation office, designed to connect minor offenders to job training and other programs close to home, is set to open soon in central Harlem.
The W. 127th St. office will become the city’s second Neighborhood Opportunity Network – or NeON – branch. The goal, officials say, is to reduce recidivism by engaging people on probation with neighborhood-based services and community projects.
