From Project Runway to Flamenco

Stacey Estrella, a one-time “Project Runway” contestant, found herself in Flamenco dancing.  While living in San Francisco, she attended a Flamenco performance and fell in love with the art form.  She saw the dance as great way to reconnect with her Mexican and Spanish roots.

Flamenco also reflects the 46-year-old West Village resident’s philosophy of life: never stop growing. Watching as her mother struggled to raise three children alone, Estrella vowed to make her own life “rich with experiences” – including a stint on Season 3 on “Project Runaway.”  She views dancing as a metaphor for her journey as a woman.
