Cheers inside and boos outside greeted the ribbon-cutting ceremony heralding the arrival of the Barclays Center arena. Mayor Bloomberg and other supporters heralded the new home of the former New Jersey Nets as a jobs and cultural boon to the city. Protesters outside expressed several complaints – including fears that crowds attracted by basketball games and concerts will create a traffic nightmare.
