Viewing Songs in the Key of Life

Bronx -

Laurie Rubin, a mezzo soprano who has been blind from birth, believes that using the arts as a form of expression can help children overcome barriers. Rubin brought her message to students at M.S. 159 in Edenwald, trumpeting the pivotal role that music can play in young lives.

The event was part of the Education Through Music program, which is now in more than 48 schools in New York City.
