More than 130 student hackers participate in the ninth annual Cyber Security Awareness Week challenge at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University. High schoolers and graduate students engaged in a fierce two-day “hack-a-thon” competition designed to recruit the brightest minds in the nation to turn their talents to protecting the Internet.

The event drew recruiters ranging from government agencies to Fortune 500 technology and engineering companies.
