Manhattan —
“Canstruction” is a charity event that challenges architects and engineers to create sculptures out of cans of food. Now in its 22nd year, the competition is taking place at the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan. Teams vie to create the biggest and coolest sculpture using cans that will be donated to City Harvest, which distributes food to hungry New Yorkers.
The exhibition runs through Nov. 20, though winners will be announced on Nov. 10.
