Brooklyn —

The Best Friends Animal Society filled the Brooklyn Expo Center with 800 dogs, cats and rabbits in hopes of matching the rescued pets with new families. Prospective pet parents also flocked to the three-day “Super Adoption” in Greenpoint.

Billed as a leader in the no-kill movement, the Best Friends Animal Society touts itself as the operator of the largest sanctuary for homeless pets and as one of the nation’ s largest animal rescue organizations. The group’s motto is “Save them all.”
