James Kalm has been videoing gallery private views and exhibition openings around the city since November, 2006, attracting an Internet following. He’s posted nearly 400 videos to You Tube, earning more than 1.3 million hits. His YouTube channel boasts 2,600 subscribers.

Using his small, handheld camera, Kalm shows a world normally reserved for art-world insiders. Part critique and expose of the art world and part performance art, Kalm sees his work as answering a call for a new mode of reviewing.
