Newly sworn-in U.S. citizens proudly waved American flags before family, friends and one special guest: Lady Liberty.
Friday marked the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty’s dedication on Liberty Island. A special naturalization ceremony was held at the national park a day before the statue undergoes a $27 million renovation that will close interior access for a year.
