A Queens intersection where an airport worker was run down and killed five years ago still lacks a simple crosswalk, despite a 2016 study that identified the crossing as a “high-crash location.”

City DOT has not fixed the intersection of Rockaway and Farmers boulevards in Springfield Gardens, where two days before Thanksgiving 2013, Erik Johnson stepped off a bus just before sunrise and was hit before he could even get halfway through the nine-lane intersection.
