The latest expansion of the Trump administration travel ban went into effect in February, adding Myanmar, also known as Burma, as well as Muslim-majority Sudan, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Tanzania and Nigeria.

Many in New York City’s burgeoning Burmese community, most of whom live in Northwest Queens, say they are baffled.

“This kind of policy is supposedly banning potential terrorists. However, we have never seen Burmese terrorizing the world,” said Moe Chan, who runs a community news group on Facebook.”If you have found one, please let me know.”
