Andrew Yang is bringing some financial relief to New Yorkers.
The former Democratic presidential candidate says his nonprofit Humanity Forward will give $1 million to Bronx residents hurt financially by the COVID-19 emergency.
Humanity Forward is partnering with Neighborhood Trust, a financial empowerment nonprofit, to distribute payments of $1,000 each to 1,000 qualified Bronx workers over the next two weeks.
“We know that there are a lot of people suffering right now in the Bronx and other parts of New York City,” he said on The Breakfast Club, Power 105.1’s morning radio show. “So we’re going to put a million dollars to work immediately.”
