MANHATTAN —

Raspberry Deli, a family-owned deli in East Harlem, opened in 2006. When the pandemic hit, Adela Zamora,  was afraid of what quarantine would mean for the business started by her parents.

The decrease in customers after nearby schools and businesses closed made the family fearful. The only thing keeping them afloat now are clientes leales, their loyal customers.

“Many times, there are many clients that tell us, ‘Thank you for being open, we appreciate you,’” said Zamora.
