It took a dozen volunteers only three hours to fill about 70 bags with garbage and debris during their cleanup of an East New York street made almost impassable by overgrown weeds and litter.
Repeated complaints about Loring Avenue between Drew and Emerald Street motivated members of Community Board 5 to coordinate the event with residents of Spring Creek Gardens, Loring Estates and Emerald Green.
