QUEENS —
Residents of an Astoria Houses building have been unable to cook a hot meal for almost a month.
A gas outage affecting 48 apartments in the New York City Housing Authority building has yet to be repaired. Instead, one electric hot plate has been distributed to each household.
Tenants fear the outage will last into the holiday season.
