The waiting lists to get into the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center after-school programs topped 400 as of late last month.
There aren’t enough part-time workers to staff 34 of its 36 after-school locations. At full capacity, its after-school programs can serve up to 5,000 students.
The center’s staffing challenges aren’t unique.
