The owners of the 59-building Flatbush Gardens complex reportedly are seeking to sell it for $425 million.

Now, unhappy tenants fear that another sale will mean that the infestation, filth and deteriorating conditions they have had to deal with for so long will not be remedied. The East Flatbush apartments have more than 4,000 open housing-code violations listed in the city’s database.

Some, including those deemed the most urgent and hazardous, have remained open for years in some cases.

“For $425 million, they’ve got a lot of violations,” said tenant association leader Marietta Small.
